Players have reported issues with the custom sound files not working properly. However, this mod doesn’t integrate and install easily, unlike other add-ons. They have customized stats that match their strengths as recorded by history. More importantly, key figures from both sides are available as in-game generals-Ulysses Grant, Robert E. This reflects in the custom-made maps and the accurate factions you can play. Some of the scenarios included in the mod are the battles of Manassas, Chickamauga, and Gettysburg-major skirmishes between the Union and the Confederacy. While the game doesn’t dive much into the ideologies involved, the aesthetics and scale are spot-on. It was fought between northern and southern states after decades of tension over differences of opinion and policy over rights, slavery, and other issues. I like that because it makes appropriately dealing with the seasons more important (especially winter), so I want to have that in Shogun 2 as well.In ACW: The American Civil War, you get to experience key points from the American Civil War, which started on Apand formally ended on April 9, 1865. In Fall of the Samurai each season lasts longer than just a turn. For the most part having matchlock units isn't a massive gamechanger in my experience, and in vanilla you don't tend to focus your research on that (even if you do, by the time you get matchlocks, they're not very useful except if you play as the Otomo). S2 Early Gunnery moves gunpowder tech a bit higher in the tech screen, making them easier to get.Vastator Unit Style makes a lot of units just a bit more unique.Sengoku Campaign Retexture to improve the campaign map.Bugs in Shogun 2 aren't game-breaking, but fixing them is still a big plus. I consider this essential because the camera in vanilla shogun 2 cannot zoom out enough for me to control my whole army at once very well. There are 3 parts, so make sure you install all of them. Better maps gives you more interesting battle maps.A good balance of challenge and immersion imo. What this means is that allies that have good relationship with you will stay at your side, but everyone else will still declare war on you. The rest of the mechanic is left untouched. Anyway, with this mod) on, instead of having a small opinion penalty that slowly builds up until -200, it gives you around -55 opinion penalty at the start of Realm Divide that slowly goes down. Fall of the Samurai Realm Divide also has a different mechanic, which makes a lot more sense, so the vanilla Realm Divide just feels off. However, I think it's unimmersive (it's dangerous to be the tallest tree.except when you're not the tallest tree, the AI doesn't get the mechanic) and almost removes the diplomacy side of things after RD. Realm divide in vanilla is a way to give you late game challenge and prevent you from expanding too early and too quickly.
